Kate Northrop is a translator for German to English. She is an American who has lived in the German speaking part of Switzerland for 15 years, and has been translating for 11 years. Her areas of expertise include literature, poetry, arts, psychology, medicine, travel, music and the music business, and song lyrics. She is also a lyricist having translated and written lyrics in English for German-speaking artists. She currently has several songs in rotation on Swiss radio.

She went to university in both the USA and UK, and has experience with both British and American English.
